I discovered 30's style properties by accident, as I was looking for a flat, once back to Paris, about 7 years ago. Unfortunately, at that time, I was unaware of the architecture of the 30's, and was also unaware at the time that the flat I decided to rent was from that period. When visiting, I was seduced by:

- the floor map, quite optimal, which is so rare in Paris,

- the great natural lightning, allowed by larger windows, together with the beauty and the originallity of the front wall.

- the general state of the building, better than in most -older- Haussmannian buildings.

With hindsight, now that I know of 1930 's architecture, I realise that I was lucky, but also that most 30's style properties (indeed quite rare in Paris) offer the same qualities. More importantly, my search for a flat would have been much easier if there had been an estate agent specialising in the 1930's.

WHAT CAN WE OFFER ?

I chose to set up Paris1930 for that same reason, convinced that my search criteria were quite universal. I put this convinction to the test by asking around me: « where would you ideally live in Paris? » or « which is the greatest flat you know of in Paris ? », ...Very often, the flat was from the 1930's. True, some of the respondants were Art Deco Aficionados (a growing, under-estimated breed), but most were 'normal' people whose preferences naturally guided them toward Art Deco properties.

A DIRECT, EXCLUSIVE AND EFFICIENT ACCESS

The mission of Paris1930, the only site dedicated to Art Deco property in Paris is to:

-Promote Art Deco as an alternative to the lack of originality of traditionnal Haussmannian properties, and also to the lack of style of modern buildings.

-Allow for supply and demand to meet through a professionnal and passionate team. The internet allows us to reach customers beyond the reduced perimeter of traditional local agents, especially outside France. We also enjoy partnerships with professionals involved in the world of Art and art collectors, and make extensive use of good connections in the world of Finance, having spent myself about 10 years at a global US investment bank, in London and Paris. We also continuously develop commercial partnerships abroad, noticeably in the Middle East.

-Develop an expertise in the 1930's, more especially so in evaluating the price of a property.
